For the 2024-2025 academic year, Arts Advocates awarded scholarships to 10 Sarasota and Manatee county students who are studying visual and related arts, dance, writing, music, theater, and architecture. Throughout July and August, we'll feature the art and performances of these talented students.

Her paintings, poetry and writings reveal the beauty of our seen and unseen worlds and inner and outer landscapes to illuminate the wonder of life’s deeper magic, mystery and meaning.

Katherine Michelle Tanner is the owner and artistic director of Tree Fort Productions Projects, a not-for-profit 501c3 production company specializing in classes for youth, teens, adults, and ongoing education. She lives in Sarasota and works as an actor, playwright, singer, director, filmmaker, choreographer, photographer, and teaching artist. Katherine will discuss her career, inspirations, and dreams.
